What if....

If a photo is worth a thousand words, what's a conversation worth...well, in our house, about a thousand smiles. Take a listen to (a.k.a. read) a conversation that happened in the car on the way home from a family dinner date tonight:

Abby: Look, look! There's a star.
Mommy: Where?
Abby: Up there. In the sky. How'd that star get up there?
Mommy: You better ask Daddy.
Abby: Daddy, how'd that star get up there in the sky?
Daddy: God put it there.
Abby: God put it there?
Daddy: Yep. God put that star up there in the sky. And He put lots of other stars up there too.
Abby: Oh. Yeah. God put that star up there.
(Pause for about 30 seconds - Long enough for Abby to look at some other things in the car and then look out the window again.)
Abby: Look look! Another star. God put that one up there too.
Mommy: He did?
Abby: Yes. God put that other star up there in the sky too.
(Pause long enough for us to get out of the car and let Abby stand on the driveway holding her baby doll.)
Abby: Look, Baby. Look at the stars in the sky. God put those stars up there. And the moon too. Look, Baby, look at what God put up there.
